Pepperoni vandalism at N.J. home leaves residents cheesed

The charges may come by the pound for a pair of vandals that left a Manville porch peppered with pepperoni last week, the woman who lives at the home said.

Heather Dougherty awoke to a virtual deli counter on her doorstep and car after the salami assailants were caught on a neighbor’s surveillance camera slicing up and tossing about two pounds of the spicy stuff across her yard.

“I opened up the front door Wednesday morning and said, ‘What the hell is this?’” Dougherty told NJ Advance Media in an interview.

Dougherty said she reported the incident to police and was helping them identify the suspects.
