I just cant believe that I can have this extensive of medical issues with basically a spider bite, Jesse Elting told KIRO 7.
Elting is a contractor. On June 1, he was at a customers house providing an estimate on a deck when a spider bit him.
After several tests, Jesse says doctors have told him it might have been a brown-recluse spider, although that species is not native to Washington. According to the State Department of Health, the two most venomous arachnids found in our state are black widows and yellow sac spiders.

(23,193 posts)I got an arm load of firewood and was bitten on the back of my right hand. 24 hours later, it was swollen and I had a high fever. Scary. A trip to the ER was necessary and the physician speculated it was a black widow or a brown recluse. Some antibiotics for a week and all was well.
Hope this guy will be okay.

(15,359 posts)are ever life threatening. I can almost count on finding one hiding in the corner when it gets cold. That's when they get in. The good news is they will almost always find the nearest corner on the floor to set up in. They are kind of hard to miss.

(14,465 posts)I knew you were being sarcastic, but it's the kind of thing if it were reported on the news I'd respond, "Yeah, I figured."
