(Detroit Free Press) A 17-year-old watched helplessly as his SUV slid into the Rouge River on Monday evening when he got out to relieve himself.
The teen, of Melvindale, was driving along the riverbank when mother nature called, so he figured a little stop couldn't hurt. He quickly learned he was wrong when his vehicle started sliding and there was little he could do to stop it.
"He is 100% fine," the news release from the Allen Park Police Department reads. "His car is currently a bit wet or better said...... submerged." ...........(more)

No mention of make or model, but I think we can assume if that were a Nissan Rogue, that would have made for a more inspired headline.

(10,885 posts)6. My son had a similar experience when he was a teen.
He stopped at the bank one evening to use the ATM located in the vestibule. Unfortunately, he left the car running. When he emerged from the bank, no car in sight. As he looked around, he noticed a gap in the hedges lining the lot. Peering through the hedge, he found his car had rolled down an embankment and was sitting solidly wedged into a small ravine. It was an expensive night for him!
