Huh... I'm actually enjoying using KDE

This is a bizarre experience for me. Once you start customizing it it's actually a great desktop. It even has a lot of the compiz eye candy I've been missing from 10 years ago.

Glad to hear KDE is cool. I haven't used KDE for over 10 years but I liked it even back then. L0oniX Sep 2014 #1

Been using Ubuntu for 6 years ...now with PPA, 3D and ...lots of Compiz candy too. I do not miss winsux at all. All the tools I need to do html and business.

before I'll use Gnome anymore. KDE is way too sweet to consider going back to Gnome.

And here I am stuck rebuilding my DNS server and Mail server after they have run non stop for 10 years 24/7 with almost 200,000 hours on one ATA hard drive. I just decided they needed some new hardware. The software's still working.

sorry I digressed.

KDE is fun and has all the eye candy that Apple didn't have till years later. Good old compiz! Swipe fire down your screen then rain on it to put it out, make 12 desktops then spin them in 3D then turn them inside out. Or make your programs fold up into paper airplanes and fly off the screen. Ah the good old days!

I just trudge along with my silly text...

Some don't like it, but it's an awesome front end IMHO.

I'd prefer Lynx to Gnome. :::shudder:::
