(121,502 posts)I've never heard that either Zoom or Google Meet can open access to your computer's files, but I suppose anything is possible these days.

(182 posts)I was using Zoom, but Google Meet lets two people video conference (for now) without a time limit or charge. Zoom has a short time limit for the no-charge experience, and no longer lets you sign back in, without a significant wait time, to continue the session. If you are paying the fee, Zoom offers more options over more platforms. Google Meet's ability to play video with sound didn't work for me using Firefox, I had to use Chrome to get the sound.
Sometimes the video quits on Google Meet, and you just get the sound of the other person talking. Both user interfaces are pretty easy to get up to speed on. If you want to share files or videos, you have to let the program access the storage.

(182 posts)They will send you a URL link. You'll give permission for Google Meet to use your camera and microphone, and click a button to "Join the meeting."
