question everything

My iPad used to have a "dictionary" at the bottom of the screen

so I could check spelling or just the correct words as I was typing. It is gone now.

I think that it happened once before but I don’t remember how it came back.

Any idea where I can find it?

Thanks

By the way both the Spelling and Auto Correction are checked in the Setting General.

I may have to turn it off and on

There's a row of on off switches (green for on) one is called "predictive"

that might be it?

Under settings Safari has auto fill. On the I Mac Edit has spelling correction. I open a second window and type in the word in question.

squiggly below it.

But on the iPad as I posted above, it is the in the bottom of the screen and the small keyboard icon was on the right. Touching it moved it to the left and everything is back.
