Related: About this forumSince that last upgrade, iTunes is acting really buggy
New songs aren't downloading from the library to iPhone. I guess the only solution (found on the web) is to uninstall your synched music from the phone and then re-synch it. But what a time-wasting drag. Anyone else having this problem?

(106,796 posts)because when I did so for my sister, it would no longer log on to her account and totally screwed everything up... I never did hear back from Apple tech on the issue (which was probably a WinXP issue, but still--)
I don't use ICloud to update my music or contacts for security reasons, but only do so via laptop sync. So, I can't risk a screwed up version of ITUNES.
BTW, I have read a lot of issues with the last two ITUNES updates after googling the issue. You might get some help on one of the main user forums as well.
I checked out the forums. Unsynch/resynch sounded like the easiest solution. It works.

(106,796 posts)So far so good, but I am apprehensive, for sure....
At least there are some decent user forums out there.

(16,660 posts)It is best when you upgrade the Apple devices and iTunes to plug your device in to the USB after the upgrade.
Apple is wanting to make sure that the computer and device are the only ones that can grab your data.
This prevents someone from plugging in another device and grabbing data from your computer or someone plugging in your phone to a different computer and grabbing the data from the phone.
You only need to plug in after the initial upgrade. After that sync you can do it wireless.

(5,562 posts)the last one cost me $350. I upgraded my ipad and it could no longer talk to the version of itunes on my aging computer. Which had an no longer supported OS so I had to upgrade that.
They told me it would be good for a couple more years.
