Is DU aware of this wingnut blogger who calls us DUmmies?

I found this doing a web search for DU today because the server appeared to be down. This blogger spends all his/her time trashing DUers and other liberal opinions. He/she even admits to trying to sell his/her rants and get a book deal.

http://dummiefunnies.blogspot.com/

He/she is actively lurking here to find quotes from us to comment on with any inane thought that pops into his/her tiny brain. Everybody is entitled to their opinions but I just wanted to make DU aware that this blog is out there and he/she is lurking here.

I'm curious whether it's legal to take our thoughts and use them for a book without permission - which is his/her admitted purpose for the blog.

I'm new here so maybe DU is already aware of this blog. I wanted to post this just in case.

can you imagine wasting your time reading freakrepublic just to make fun of them? what a sad life.

on edit: how bad do you have to be to screw up the formatting at blogspot?

We have our names for them, as well.

I suppose it's better than actually smacking each other across the face.

...what about taking exerpts from this website to try to get a book deal out of it? Read the profile info.

I'm not concerned about name calling and such. It's probably best to just ignore people like that because they crave attention, but I primarily wanted DU to be aware in case there are any legal issues.

...when it's all available for free to anyone who cares to lurk.

Besides, most of the discussions here deal with time-stamped topics: politics, news, current events. By the time he gets the book published, it will read like last month's newspaper.

is the legal ramifications. There's no way they'll get a book deal out of it but just the fact that he/she is blatantly trying to sell our content and his stupid commentary bothers me.

DU should be aware just in case.

No - it is copyright infringement. But it would be up to the individual members to go after him.

as for the rest of it, I see him going to a vanity press. Maybe something will sink in while lurking.

RW bloggers lurking here to use material against us. But at the same time, it also shows that DU has become a real successful site because it is known by so many people on both sides.

I would like it if everyone registered at Ar15.com and posted their opinions about Mitt Romney to the area of the forum called "General Discussion." I joined the site without knowing much about it and thought of it as a political discussion forum used by people from the center and center-right. However, when I said that I was to the left of Mitt Romney on many issues and criticized his debacle in Britain, I was banned from the site ... even though I did not violate their code of conduct. I had enjoyed debating people respectfully and commenting on popular topics, but I was targeted by the idiotic administrators of the site. I would greatly appreciate if all of you made at least one account with that far-right website and then made your voices known on their forum. The moderators on the site harass people into leaving the site if they have even the slightest disagreement with them.

if you post this in your own thread as an OP.

I have no desire to engage closed minded right wingers, but thanks for the heads up about that forum.
