Voter fraud is a myth but ELECTION FRAUD is a very real and ongoing danger.

There has to be a paper trail to verify the accuracy of voter counts. Otherwise we are just inviting fraud.

It could be a great JOBS BILL, also. Every two years, a lot of minimum wage jobs that are desperately needed. And no more waiting in long lines at polling places with an inadequate amount of voting machines.

I will accept electronic verification of registration information but I will not accept electronic voting at voting places run by political hacks of either party. They have a motive to cheat and you can be sure they will cheat if they think they can get away with it.

At least with a paper trail we can check the accuracy of the voting machines. Viva_Daddy Aug 2012 #4

but you're right about election fraud being the problem rather than the illusion of voter fraud.

such a lovely amorphous place... chock full of holes big enough to steal many an election through.

Hmm... so many articles to say how wrong this is. A quick google brings up this one: http://www.wheresthepaper.org/

I read the first few pages.. looks accurate so far.

The use of electronic voting machines is a serious issue fraught with dangers. However, have you ever considered that it's not the means we use to vote that's the problem, the problem is the concept of majority decision making in itself?

In other words the Tyranny of the Majority is the underlying issue and it is itself diametrically opposed to our right to individual freedom?

Some thoughts on this if you are interested in the link beneath

I for one believe that our current democratic system is rigged in favor of big government regardless of how we vote and who wins the election.
