...all the civil rights it took generations to secure. Shame on you all.

Has it "Burned Down" enough for ya yet?
You were so busy blasting those Pavlovian slogans & cashing in on the celebrity of it all, that you were either too ignorant to heed the warnings or you just didn't give a shit that you were aiding the RW deep division.
This is what you voted for.

I have issues reconciling people I know who still identify as republican, even the "moderates." I have a couple of friends & family members I'm fond of who haven't gone full on Q-anon, but they still believe there were serious election irregularities in 2020. Also, they "would never vote for a democrat," but they're OK with voting for people who would take voting rights away from others who might not vote for their candidates. WTF? The only silver lining of the pandemic is that I haven't had to socialize with them. Then I have a couple of family members who are full on Q-anon nuts. They've said some mean, hateful things & I don't have anything to do with them & never will again. Angry, vengeful people. Can a country come back from this deep of division?

DeSantis, per usual when a trial court rules against him, has expressed confidence that those higher courts will incline toward his legal position. Not a bad bet, considering that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit is now one of the country’s most conservative appellate courts and the new 6-3 conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court.
