The continued dumbing down of America

I'm cross-posting this from GD (among other groups) because I originally heard about it through a Toronto maker's group I belong to. A place where children using their brains to build things is considered a good thing.

And of course, also because this is the path the Harperites are taking us down, as I'm sure all here are aware. It's a dark and ugly future if the cons win another majority.

The above idiocy is in line with the stories about the school kids taking a few bites out of their food in such a way as to form the shape of a gun - and then getting suspended for pointing their "gun" in a threatening manner (and saying "bang" I guess...&quot .

If I can't foist my unwelcome Canadian-American opinions here, where CAN I do it? There's just no freedom anymore....
