Elbows up: Liberals and Conservatives spar in Canada as country gets ready to head to the polls on April 28th, 2025

Canada’s newly minted Prime Minister Mark Carney doesn’t mess around. In his first nine days, Carney has traveled to France and Britain, ventured to the far north, made an housing announcement in Edmonton and called a snap general election.

After a thirty-six day campaign — imagine that! — Canadians will vote April 28th.

The winner gets to take on Donald Trump and his twenty-five percent tariffs.

Voters appear roused and looking to push back on his “fifty-first state” talk.
