I was told by one that they agreed with most of what he did but would vote against him because they think he is smug. They agreed they would vote against their own interests. How do you fight against that stupidity. I do not understand this need to worship a politician, we used to vote for the party that we felt did the right thing.

will not like Poilievre. He's Canada's Ted Cruz. My worry is Jean Charest. He could appeal more to the centrists event if Trudeau doesn't frustrate people.

Like another poster, I think Charest would be a more formidable opponent in a Federal election, but it is very much an open question if he can win the Con party leadership.
