Global threats
Jackson Hole Community Radio broke the story a month after the incident. In April, videos of the bar incident surfaced and spread online internationally.
Cody Roberts isnt talking to reporters, but people all over the world are talking about what happened at the bar in Daniel.
I've had death threats from Ireland, Russia, Japan, Australia, said another man who happens to be named Cody Roberts, but had nothing to do with the incident, is not related to the other Roberts, and lives about 100 miles way in Thayne, Wyo.

(41,389 posts)This level of cruelty, the torturing of animals, needs to be punishable by more than a $250 fine.
Maybe some good will come of this, motivating the state to pass new legislation prohibiting the cruel and inhumane treatment of predatory animals and enabling prosecutors to seek more stringent fines and even prison time.
People who torture animals are sick and depraved. This man doesnt look like anything other than an asshole.

(11,573 posts)in the wild. Wolves are often shown as extremely aggressive and bloodthirsty, likely to attack and kill anyone out in the woods after dark. This might be an effective plot device in a movie, but wolf attacks are extremely rare in the real world.

(3,844 posts)This movie is emblematic of this theme. I saw it in the theater. I do not recommend as it was depressing. I've never hunted either. Zero thumbs up, only thumbs down.

(11,573 posts)A lot of people believe this movie stuff, I suppose it makes torturing a captive wolf in a bar a little less depraved.

(93,435 posts)Of wolves and it sucks. I've spent the last twenty+ years of my working life fighting to protect them and educate the public on the truth about wolves, this whole thing pisses me off to no end.
It is an endless battle with ignorance by choice.
