WV candidate Skaff bitten by copperheads

He came in second in the r. primary for sec. of state. He was removing campaign signs and was bitten on foot and leg. He is expected to be hospitalized for several days. He was a Dem and switched to r.

wearing high boots and close-fitting, strong jeans as one should (to warn off ticks too), when walking in such environments, as one who is used to walking in dried grasslands, where the color of the dried grasses is almost the same color as the snakes. My dogs saved me several times by barking at a snake, that was so hard to spot in amongst the grasses.

Deducted points because he switched parties. Snakes are unarmed, maybe he felt safe

I guess he wasn't paying attention, or another opinion I have is that he didn't really get bit, and just claiming he was, to get some compassion or whatever.
