Bellevue awards $12 million for family housing project on church property

Imagine Housing has been awarded $12.1 million by the city of Bellevue to develop approximately 100 units of family-focused affordable housing on land at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church at 2650 148th Ave SE in the Lake Hills area.

The funds were approved by the City Council on March 3, according to a news release.

The money adds to a capital stack that already includes $2 million from the state Housing Trust Fund, $1 million from King County/City of Bellevue CHIP (Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program) and $500,000 from A Regional Coalition for Housing.

Imagine Housing, a nonprofit housing provider based in Bellevue, has raised $15.5 million for land acquisition and construction costs.
