Sutherland trails in primary; Somers, Dunn hold leads in county races
EVERETT — Election denier and former state Rep. Robert Sutherland appeared to lose his bid for Snohomish County auditor in the primary Tuesday, as he trailed a nonpartisan and a Democrat with experience in the office.
Meanwhile, two-term incumbent Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers was well on his way to advance in his race.
Somers, a Democrat, will face Republican challenger Bob Hagglund.
Somers was also challenged by Democrat Christopher Garnett. Somers received 52.5% of the early results, with Hagglund in second at 36.7%. Garnett trailed with 10.6%.
