Wichita County Judge candidates face off in KFDX debate ahead of election

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The race for Wichita County Judge continues as we hosted a live debate between candidates Mark Dora and Rick Hatcher ahead of the upcoming runoff election.

The debate featured strict time limits, including two-minute opening statements, 90-second responses to questions, 60-second rebuttals and 90-second closing statements. A bell sounded throughout the night to signal when candidates’ time had expired.

Throughout the debate, both candidates addressed topics including economic growth, property taxes, county leadership and large-scale development projects like solar farms and data centers.

Dora focused heavily on his background in public service, emergency response and business leadership, telling voters he believes his experience has prepared him for the role.
