Hereford ISD holds $150 million bond election for new high school

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) -Hereford ISD’s school board called for a $150 million bond with funds used to construct a new high school, install safe rooms at every campus and demolish a former school to make room for athletic facilities.

The plan came from the Facility Planning Committee, which included citizens, city leaders, board members, teachers and parents.

The high school was built in 1954 and the district says classrooms are below current TEA size standards, the HVAC system does not meet current ventilation and air circulation standards and more.
