By now, Im sure youve heard about what happened yesterday on the UT Austin campus. There are plenty of clips of police brutality floating around, including their brutalization and arrest of the Austin Fox affiliates reporters. So, Ill spare you the trauma of reposting them, but we all must understand what happened yesterday and why.
First, its essential to know that the protest being held at UT Austin was to feature speakers and would have included a pizza party and arts and crafts tables.

(466 posts)My buddy Mark was drinking in a Austin Texas tavern and this guy came up bought a drink and reached in his pocket to pay for it and didn't have any money. Mark paid for his drink-after the bartender called the police on him.
Long story short-
My friend spent a night in jail for buying a drink for a guy.
Texas has been a police state for quite a while. Not going to get any better until they vote out all those crazy ass Xtian Republicants.
