Austin folks: How is the power situation?

I am heading down there tomorrow for the Texas Democratic Women State Convention

We are going to be at the Airport Hilton. Does anyone know about power over in that area?

If you are coming to the convention, I hope to meet you!!!

Fixed that after he was embarrassed with the last power outage. Or, has he been too fucking busy banning abortions. I'm sure he has cured the rape situation and hasn't had the time to fully address the power infrastructure.

He can’t be blamed for this. It’s just massive tree limb damage which took down power lines all over.

Last night was continuous crashes of tree limbs

Austin electric say all power should be back by noon tomorrow but there are A LOT of trees and power lines down. I was over at a friends today and the drive looked like a hurricane hit. Monster trees lying in the road. Thankfully it’s thawing out so I do t think there will be any more damage.

I finally was able to reach the hotel and they have confirmed they are fully powered.
We did not get the ice on the trees here. Other parts of DFW may have but not in my area

40 miles south of the peoples republic of Austin (Wimberley area);
gigantic loss of trees and limbs everywhere. Looks like a hurricane hit. Kudos to our electric co-op (PEC) for the aggressive tree trimming program they recently employed. It paid off, only a few flickers now and then, but no loss of heat. All chippers sold out immediately. We'll have firewood for years. Looking forward to harvesting my friends Mesquite tree fallen limbs for cooking up some pork. This unfortunately looks to be the status quo for the future, but only the shadow knows!
