Rogersville election has two mayor, seven alderman candidates qualified
As of the end of business hours Friday, and with three weeks remaining before the filing deadline, two mayoral candidates and seven alderman candidates have qualified for the June 7 Rogersville City Election.
Another two candidates have picked up mayoral nomination petitions, and another two alderman petitions have not yet been submitted.
The mayoral candidates who have already qualified for the June 7 ballot are Vice Mayor Brian Hartness and local business owner and former county commissioner John Metz. Petitions were also picked up by Tommy Wilmoth, who resides on Circle Drive, and Eugene Elkins, who resides on 2nd Street.
Alderman candidates who have qualified are incumbents Todd Biggs, Danny Brooks and Brock Gladson; retired Rogersville Police Department Detective Charlie Gibson; and local businessmen Andrew Poe, Brady Forgety and Robbie Helton.
