Do they still do this? I saw some great acts there. On the riverfront.

So, one year, they had the band Cake as a headliner. As they played, we all began to notice that there was something going on sort of next door. We realized that the hazardous waste plant was on fire and was merrily burning away. The band did not stop. However, at one point, as the smoke was curling over our heads and the wind current started to nudge it lower and lower, John McCrea took the mike and said, "Okay, now when that smoke gets down here, I want everyone to INHALE!"

The smoke did not get down to us, but we got a double show that night as we watched Cake do their thing and the Metro fire departments do theirs. What fun.
