Related: About this forumGov Lee refuses to waive high stakes school testing in wake of tornado
Fake Christian Bill Lee once again shows his true lack of compassion and decency. Failing the test would cause 3rd grade students to be retained in the same grade next year.

True. But if they didn't get it in first grade and can't pass a third grade test, what should they

Well if what you say is the answer we're gonna have some pretty big third graders in school

That's not fair. You don't need more than a third grade education to vote for Trump.

There are kids who literally cant read after graduation. Can you believe that? This is a great start to preparing our students for their lifetime of learning. If you dont get the basics, you may as well hang it up.

(36,395 posts)4. I really don't see how giving eight-year-old a final exam helps this problem
They should have learned to read in first grade, but the public schools are more interested in Christian propaganda these days

do? They have to find a way to teach them and if it means repeat the grade, maybe that is the best thing to do for them. It wont be any better in fourth grade.
