Nashville's Exit/In closing

This is so sad...I have great memories of shows in this small, intimate venue. Another victim of Nashville's unbridled real estate development boom, which is strangling the goose that laid the golden egg of music and creativity all over this town.

Another independent music venue, this one with so much incredible history, forced to close its doors in the name of progress and development. Third & Lindsley is being torn down for apartments, Mercy Lounge closed last year, and now the real jewel of independent venues is closing. It's just sad.

Nashville is losing its character and what once made it great.

Steve Martin, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson, and others played there before their careers broke nationally. One of my big regrets is not going there more often.

We did see Doc and Merle Watson twice and it was wonderful!

It was such an intimate place; almost like a concert in your own living room.

Is there any chance of returning at another venue? I do hope so.

PS I will be angry forever at what was done to the 5th Congressional District by the TN Legislature.
