I think it's time for me to move back to NJ and leave these yahoos to breed and whatever.

(18,003 posts)Last year he signed the proclamation of "NBF Day" readily and said he had no plans to challenge the law. He has also refused to commit to removing the bust of Forrest from the State Capitol, because "history". Lee is a KA frat member who actively participated in confederate parties in college and knows full well the history of someone like Forrest. Yet, he plays these political games to give the appearance of sensibility. Just do away with the damn proclamation day. It's been on the books in Tennessee only since 1969. It was as ignorant and racist then as it is now.

(235 posts)Somehow, when I heard the TN was attracting Northern retirees, I imagined liberal/progressive. We got all the others. Wish they just continued to FL. Thanks for hoping with me that things will change.
