Man in gorilla costume breaks into Mt. Juliet home

At least he was wearing a face covering!

"Mt. Juliet police on Sunday arrested a man after they say the stranger broke into a home dressed in a gorilla costume and frightened a 6-year-old girl.

According to police, about 2 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 1900 block of Dunedin Drive to search for a suspect, wearing a gorilla costume, who — a homeowner said — unlawfully entered the back door of a home.

A resident confronted the man in the backyard of their home after realizing he was just inside the home. The man ran, police said, and shortly after officers found him nearby on Portsmouth Court.

Richard Muzick, 31, of Old Hickory was identified as the suspect and arrested. According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed Muzick thought he was at someone else’s home and looking for another individual."
