Police: Naked woman brought gun to Nashville Waffle House

A woman wanted in connection with a 2017 fatal robbery and shooting was arrested over the weekend after Metro police said she entered a Nashville Waffle House naked with a gun.

Montessa Tate-Thornton, 19, faces charges including public indecency and possession of a handgun while being under the influence in connection with the Saturday morning incident inside the business at 318 Harding Place.

Police say Tate-Thornton and Larico Nixon, 34, both nude, ran into the restaurant before officers' arrival.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers responded to the restaurant and found Tate-Thornton inside without any clothes on. Before officers arrived, patrons and employees had fled the business in fear, police said.
