Today we took down our commemorative Barack Obama plate and stored it away.

Good evening, fellow Carolinians
We had to have our HVAC system checked out today, so we decided to take our plate down. We didn't want maga to harass us, and we didn't know who our HVAC technician might be. Better be careful.
We decided it was best to put it away and hold on to it for better days.

I have never taken it down before, but you've certainly given me food for thought. Maybe I should put it away whenever a repairman comes over; better to be safe than sorry. You never know about people anymore.

3. A MAGA appraiser story

About 10 years ago we were considering refinancing our mortgage to a lower rate. We had paid about 1/4 of the principal, and the neighborhood was seeing increased prices on sales, so the appraisal was just a formality.
The appraiser made it obvious as soon as he came in that he was very upset to the various Obama and Democratic materials in our house. Completely unprofessional.
The appraisal came in at roughly half of what we knew we could sell the house for, noting things like spots of mold on an outdoor retaining wall and a spare room that needed to be painted.
This story has a good ending: I sat down with the head of the S&L we were using. He arranged a new appraisal, and when it came in 90% higher than what the jackass had given us we were assured that the S&L would never use him again. Apparently he thought he could hurt us with a lowball appraisal, but all he did was damage his reputation and prospects for future business.

They are looking for enemies of trumpdumb and can find you through your post!
Quick! Go buy a Tesla, pray for Speaker Johnson, and donate a copy of ‘Hillbilly Elegy’ to your local library.
They’ll see that you’ve ’seen the light!’

(I know - that’s ridiculous - or IS IT? Who ever thought a rapist/felon could be elected President of the United States?)

It feels better to me to leave my Harris-Walz bumper sticker on my car and fly my Ukrainian flag, although I know there are angry magats around. Still, you know best what you might be risking. I at least am in a bluish-purplish state.
