Pennsylvania man accused of voting twice in 2020 election sentenced

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania man won't face jailtime following an election fraud conviction in the spring.

Matthew Laiss, 32, of Bethlehem, was sentenced Wednesday to three years of probation with the first six months being served on home confinement.

The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Leeson, Jr. on election fraud offenses in connection with the 2020 presidential election.

Laiss was convicted in March on one count of voting more than once in a federal election and one count of voter fraud.
