I had an apartment in an old brownstone on Broad Street, about halfway between the base and Center City and not far from the Italian Market.

Four seasons. Close to mountains, the shore, lakes. Tons of history and culture. The Eagles. I'm lucky to be from the best city in this state (and country) - Philadelphia.

I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Mom was from York County, Dad from Reading, DH from Philly, my brother lives near Harrisburg. Now our state is even better with Gov Shapiro and Sen. Fetterman.

Stayed at a hotel by the trains station and that food market. While I didn’t get to do tourist things I want to go back and check it out as a tourist.

I remote worked from the hotel and we met for lunch each day at Reading Terminal Market - and ate in tiny restaurants at night. She had her first Pho and loved it.

My relatives have lived there since the 1600s! One of them was the only woman in the commonwealth to be charged with witchcraft. Her neighbors had missing stock from their farms and saw levitating cows. Even her own daughter testified against her but William Penn came to her aide. He basically laughed at the whole notion of witchcraft. My mom did research with our genealogy and discovered this fun fact.

We have lived in the Poconos, vacationed at the Jersey Shore and lived in Montgomery County (a mile from where Dr Oz says he lived) as well as Center City at 12th and Lombard in a home built 150 years earlier. I worked and went to college in Phila and even though my family moved to CA in 1984, I still consider it my home.
