Maybe this should go in the New Jersey group. I don't know.

I am notoriously dim-witted about politics but my sense is that typically effective election messaging will not include
explicit references to crudités

Who thought this was a good idea

It's either "veggies" or "beer snacks."

But "crudités"? Forget about it, he must be a foreigner.

which I don’t like, so I don’t talk about them at all. Reminds me of when Bush the Elder got a ration of crap for his surprise at seeing a price scanner at a grocery store, establishing that he never set foot in one.

He was in a Redners, but called it Wegners. Probably thought he was in Wegmans until he saw the gigantic Redners logo over the produce section. This dude has obviously never gone food shopping.

As for the prices....the broccoli is by the pound. The asaparagus may be as well. He's just making shit up. He picked up a FIVE POUND BAG of carrots. 5 pounds for 4 dollars is less than a dollar per pound. Pretty damn good, if you ask me. He could make his salsa and guac for cheaper rather than buying those processed packages.

Personally, I don't think Redners has the best prices, but nothing there was terribly out of the ordinary. If I was Redners, I'd ask him to take that down because he makes them look bad.

What in the fuck was he making? Carrots garnished with asparagus and broccoli?

Maybe they told him not to mention the store name in his video?

At least he didn't go to Giant Eagle.

He probably doesn't cook for himself and this is obviously his first trip to a grocery store in 40 years. When he last shopped, bread was $0.19 a loaf.

At least he didn't call it Aldi's.
