1. Oz is going to do better in eastern PA but they haven't posted those numbers yet

Melissa Hart is leading all of them, and she dropped out of the race last week. However Hart virtually unknown outside of Allegheny County, so she was always a non-starter.

3. Unlike Oz, McCormick at least was born and raised in PA

Pundits seem surprised at the McCormick vote in the western counties of NE PA, but that is where Bloomsburg University is, a college McCormick's dad lead for many years. His family would be well known there. McCormick was also a state high school wrestling champion in an area where wrestling is big, big deal.

4. I still don't get why he's running in Pennsylvania when he doesn't even live in the state

I'd think that would be a disqualifier for voters - if his positions on the issues weren't so blatantly offensive. He's a doctor who initially supported hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid?? No wonder TFG endorsed him...

5. Jmo, but I think Oz saw what Youngkin did in VA

and figured he could use the same strategy of a wink and a nod to Trumpers in PA and win. Again, jmo, but it seems that the non-crazy Rs do see him as a carpetbagger and are preferring McCormick.

6. Is he going to move there?

Or during Congressional breaks when others go home to their states, is he going to go home to New Jersey??

7. Reportedly, Oz bought a house somewhere in SE Pa,

but I doubt he does now or will actually ever live there. He used his in-law's address to vote in PA the last election.

8. I remember that. So how does this qualify him as a "resident," let alone be familiar with the state??

9. You don't have to live in the state to be elected a senator from that state

RFK representing NY is an example.

However, if Oz wins, his residency will be a point of contention. I'm actually surprised AG Shapiro has not charged him with voter fraud for using his in-law's address to vote in PA when clearly he did not live there.

10. Now that would be a good idea, didn't he think anyone would find out?

For someone who made it through medical school, he sure is pretty clueless. Actually, that reminds me of TFG who apparently thought that no one remembered what he said yesterday - or that there were actual tapes of it. According to the latest news, McCormick is only leading by 9 points, so it depends on the mail-in ballots yet to be counted and there's a likelihood of a recount.
