Thank Goodness For Skepchick! Some Truth About Fluoridation.

Water, Water, Lies About Water Everywhere

That anti-fluoridation campaign in Portland has been one of the scariest things I've ever watched. Mob rule. Fear! FEAR! FEAR! And much of it from people who should know better.

Let science win the day, please:

What's up with so many otherwise seemingly "progressive" sensible people
(like Nick Fish), pulling out ALL the stops on this atrocious crusade to spend tax
dollars we don't have, to force-feed the populous an industrial poison via our
city's water supply?

There's got to be some kind of bizarre back-story to this: I wonder who's in
a position to benefit financially and/or politically from this nonsense.

... is that all these folks who promote community work are suddenly pushing libertarian BS memes after being conned by pseudoscience.

Fluoride is neither a nutrient nor essential for healthy teeth making it a drug. Like all drugs, fluoride has side effects http://www.FluorideAction.Net/Issues/health the water supply should never be used as a vehicle for drugs without concern for age, health, weight or presence of teeth.

Fluoridation Opposition is Scientific, Respectable & Growing

More than 4,400 professionals (including 343 dentists and 538 MD’s) urge that fluoridation be stopped because fluoridation is ineffective and harmful. See statement: http://www.fluoridealert.org/researchers/professionals-statement/text/

Kids in Seattle have 40% less tooth decay than kids in Portland. Very strange to see the right wing BS methods being used here to ignore the facts.
