Oklahoma's Democratic Party says it won't award delegates to an anti-abortion activist who received 18 percent of the vote in this month's presidential primary because the candidate didn't follow party rules.
Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry claims he's entitled to six delegates. On Friday, he called the party's decision "political insider trading."
Party rules say any candidate who wins more than 15 percent of the vote may claim delegates to the national convention. Wallace Collins, chairman of the Oklahoma Democrats, told Terry in a letter that he didn't follow procedures "in spirit" or "in execution." Collins also said Terry didn't demonstrate that he was a true member of the political party.
