Auglaize County Board of Elections seeking more poll workers for primary election in May

March 10, 2025, Press Release from the Auglaize County Board of Elections:

WAPAKONETA, Ohio - The Auglaize County Board of Elections is in need of Precinct Election Officials for the upcoming May 6, 2025 Primary/Special Election that are affiliated with the Democratic Party. Precinct Polling Locations by law must be staffed with Precinct Election Officials from both major political parties and in addition, also voters with no party affiliation may be utilized.

Serving as a Precinct Election Official requires training and serving on Election Day from approximately 5:45am until 8:00pm. Polling locations are open from 6:30am until 7:30pm for voters to cast ballots. In Auglaize County, Precinct Election Officials are compensated $25 for in-person training, $15 for online training and $137.50 for Election Day. Those serving may be asked to travel to polling locations outside of their precinct where Democratic Precinct Election Officials are most needed.
