More than 551,000 Ohio voters have cast their ballots so far during early voting

"Absentee ballot requests and in-person voting so far are trending toward older, independent voters. About 1 million absentee requests or in-person votes came from those 55 and older. And about 790,000 came from unaffiliated voters. Of the partisans, 370,000 Republicans requested ballots or cast an in-person ballot as did 280,000 Democrats."

Down by over half a million from previous two non-covid elections.

The parking lot was full and the precinct was jumping, though thanks to the number of machines they had I did not have to wait. I can't imagine ever again waiting until election day to vote. It's so much easier to do it early.

We’ve never waited to vote but they’ll be a steady flow all day. And we always chat with the folks who work the polls catching up on local gossip. My wife and I vote then go get biscuits and gravy and coffee on Main Street. Sometimes it’s nice being old. I always consider it a national holiday when I can vote against republicans.

I looked around but everyone was either voting or getting people signed in. No one was loitering around, harassing anyone or looking suspicious. Of course they could have been hiding in the shadows until a brown-skinned person tried to vote.
