I thought it was just me

thinking there are more crazy, aggressive, angry, drivers on the roads now. But it’s actually true.

Road rage, speeding on the rise in Ohio, AAA reports, even with fewer people on the roads

It has been a year of Wild West driving, with eight in 10 drivers, on at least one occasion, having driven angry, with aggression and sometimes to the point of rage, AAA of Ohio reports,

And speeding tops the list of ill-advised behavior, with men having the heavier foot, but women not far behind.

The auto club suggests that everyday stress, compounded by the pandemic and holidays is creating a crescendo of calamity on the roads.

“Sometimes I'm reluctant to turn my signal on to change lanes, because people see it as a challenge," he said. "I just want everyone to get where they're going safely."

“Speeding, red-light running, and cutting off other drivers can kill you, your passengers, and others sharing the road,” Jake Nelson, AAA’s director of traffic safety advocacy, said in a prepared statement. “Driving aggressively isn’t worth the risk. When you get behind the wheel, be patient, be kind, and obey traffic laws so everyone gets home safely

has already made an impact. So far I've gotten two partial refunds of car insurance paid.

Accidents are down, claims are down.

When all this is over, a noticeable percentage of people will never return to a daily commute. Don't know if it will be enough to give me additional rebates, but that's just one of the permanent changes in our lives.
