CLEVELAND, Ohio A 31-year-old woman killed by celebratory gunfire and four people injured outside a nightclub are among 13 people shot during a nine-hour stretch late New Years Eve and early New Years Day in Cleveland, police said.
The violent end to 2019 and start to 2020 included at least 10 separate shootings between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 3 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
It marked the second straight year that New Years Eve came to a brutal end in Cleveland. On Dec. 31, 2018, three people were killed and two others were hurt in a shooting at a party on the citys West Side.
