COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reviewing a Facebook video from the leader of a strident pro-gun group who used violent imagery while criticizing Gov. Mike DeWines new gun-control proposal.
DeWine spokesman Dan Tierney said someone on Lt. Gov. Jon Husteds staff noticed the video, posted Wednesday by Chris Dorr, the leader of Ohio Gun Owners.

In the video, Dorr, while launching a fundraising pitch, described what he said was his groups approach to negotiating with Ohio politicians.
You do this or there could be political bodies lying all over the ground, Dorr said more than an hour into the 80-minute video. Maybe not this election, maybe the next election, but youll get yourself added to a list, my friend. And at some point when you come across the target field, we gun owners will pull the trigger and leave the corpse for the buzzards.
Dorr elsewhere in the video called for the state legislature to impeach DeWine over his plan, which includes expanded background checks on gun sales, and the creation of a legal process that would allow judges to order the seizure of guns from people deemed a danger to themselves or others.
DeWine proposed the plan on Tuesday in the aftermath of last weeks mass shooting in Dayton.

(2,343 posts)so opposed to background checks? Maybe they have shit to hide. Might reveal they shouldn't own guns. That's my guess. Otherwise, it's just a teensy weensy inconvenience for them to wait a couple days to stroke their metal manhood. Bunch a whiners those gun humpers are.
