Ohio police chief accused of racist, sexist comments retires

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — A police chief under investigation after he was accused of making racist, sexist and homophobic comments will retire next month, reports say.

Police Chief Michael Taylor’s retirement will become official on Feb. 19, but he will be off on personal time until then, 10tv.com reports.

Taylor had been police chief since 2003 and had been with the police department for more than 35 years.

WCMH Channel 4 reports anonymous letters were sent to city officials earlier this month accusing Taylor of making inappropriate comments to the staff with the police department.
