The UNC Board of Governors accepted UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor Carol Folts resignation Tuesday but said they want her out of the position by the end of this month.
Folt announced her resignation abruptly Monday after tensions with the board of governors over the future of the Silent Sam Confederate statue. In a press conference Tuesday morning, Folt said she hoped to stay until graduation in May.

(8,216 posts)Public University in America because of UNC students, graduates, professors and administrators who have resisted the Art Pope Caliphate in all of its forms. UNC-Chapel Hill used to be called the Zoo by Jesse Helms because of its intellectual candor and the diversity of faculty and students.
Bicentennial Class of 1994 here calling out Art's rethugs for pretending to represent the true heritage of North Carolina. As a 36 year resident and Tar Heel I saw much which disputes the sick fantasies foisted by those who pine for the Jim Crow days. The average NC native is far more moderate and forgiving than Art Pope or the MSM would have you believe.
