09-28-2024 Swannanoa, NC - Catastrophic Flash Flooding - Generational Event - Extreme Damage - Live Storms Media

In the town of Swannanoa, NC, and massive amount of damage was caused by extreme water levels and large landslides. Debris from houses that were swept away litters the roadways and fields. Large trees have been snapped and sent downstream. Dead animals are strewn about the 15' tall debris piles. Huge gas tanks have been relocated over 1000' across the river. Trailer houses are now blocking roadways. Houses have been moved off of foundations. Mud, up to 12" thick, cakes the area, slowing vehicle and foot traffic to a standstill. - 09/29/2024.
