Bergen County moving 153 polling stations

Bergen County Officials from both parties predicted the relocated polling places will have an impact on voting Tuesday.

“We’re certainly worried about voters being disenfranchised, no matter who they are voting for,” said Adam Silverstein, spokesman for the Bergen County Democratic Committee. “This certainly makes voting more difficult.”

Silverstein said the Democrats are concerned because their analysis shows that 106 of the affected precincts voted for Barack Obama in the last presidential election.

Bob Yudin, chairman of the Bergen County Republican Organization, said the changes could have an impact at the local, county and federal level. But he said it’s less clear which party will benefit.
