Date set for Linn mayor special election following clerical error

Linn voters who received an incorrect ballot style in the April municipal election can vote for Linn mayor on Tuesday, June 9.

The election will be held at Osage County Annex Building, 205 E. Main St. in Linn, according to a notice of election filed Thursday. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A judge approved a request from the Osage County clerk to have a special election for 40 Linn residents who had ballots that did not contain the mayoral race in the April municipal election.

The election between Michael Troesser, who had 127 votes, and Dustin Flamm, with 101 votes, was decided by a total of 26 votes, which led County Clerk Brooke Dudenhoeffer to request a special election.
