One in four election officials could leave profession by 2024, official says

JEFFERSON CITY — Around twenty-five percent of election officials plan to leave the profession, or already have, ahead of reelection this November, according to the president of the Missouri Association of County Clerks and Election Authorities.

"We haven't seen this level of drop-off," Shane Schoeller, the MACCEA president and Green County Clerk, said. "That, I think, from what we understand in this situation, is fairly unprecedented."

A recent survey from the Brennan Center for Justice, a nonpartisan policy institute, reported one in every five election officials nationwide say it's unlikely they will serve through the 2024 presidential election.

Among the reasons cited, many cited political attacks on the election process, stress, and retirement plans as their justification to leave the profession.

the first step in removing honest election officials was when DOJ allowed the Cyber Ninjas to have access to ballots, voter information, and election material and equipment. Allowing the fraudits to spread across the country enflamed the Big Lie and led to the purging of honest election officials who were replaced by Magats.

The attacks by the Magats on honest election officials was so severe that Merrick Garland met with the Senate and proclaimed that DOJ was going to look into threats against election officials and school board members, whereupon every Magat Senator attacked Garland for suppressing freedom of speech, whereupon Garland backed down and said he would work with local law enforcement to prevent violence against public officials. How is that working out? The threats against election officials and school board members?
