There are plenty of over-the-top memorials for Charlie Kirk, some funded with our tax dollars, if people feel like he's been unfairly neglected by Minnesota football fans.

For the politicians, media/pundits, influencers, etc it is all a proactive choice.

For the moronic masses it may be more passive acceptance of the message from the above, but even with them it often seems volitional.
