Lansing election workers prepare 22,000 absentee ballots for August primary
LANSING, Mich. (News 10) - Election workers in Lansing are preparing 22,000 absentee ballots weeks before voters head to the polls for the August primary election.
About a dozen volunteers are helping prepare the ballots at the Lansing elections office.
Sherryl Stephens, one of the volunteers, said more work goes into elections than many people realize.
“It truly takes a village to do all things,” Stephens said. “Without participation from the village, things can go awry.”
