Jackson mayoral race draws 5 candidates for 2026 election
JACKSON, MI – Five candidates have filed to become the next mayor of Jackson.
The city clerk’s office has confirmed the following candidates for the 2026 election. They will appear on the Aug. 4 primary ballot. The top two vote getters will move on to the November primary election.
Christy May Davis
Derek J. Dobies
Shalanda Hunt
Dena K. Morgan
John Wilson
Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney previously announced he will not seek an elected office in 2026 to focus on his family.
