MI-HD44: Recount confirms Republican Steve Frisbie flipped 44th state House District in Calhoun County
Republican Steve Frisbie remains victorious in the race to represent Michigan’s 44th state House District in Calhoun County.
The county’s board of canvassers certified the results of a recount Tuesday, increasing Frisbie’s official margin of victory from 61 to 79 votes.
Unofficial results published after the November 5 election showed Frisbie with a larger lead. However, that was because a tabulation error had left thousands of votes counted, but unreported.
Frisbie’s opponent, Democratic incumbent Jim Haadsma, requested the recount.
